I guess it depends on how important you consider that big polished
power-pop sound that a few folks alluded to. To me, those albums sound big
and crunchy and glossy and everything, but the songs are pretty dull (when
the best song on the album is a two-decades-old cover, something's wrong),
and I'd much rather hear the noisier, muddier, more chaotic NEUROTICA,
which in my opinion has infinitely better songs.
