Subject Pitch Correction specific examples

ok, screw this.  laugh.  I'm just gonna give examples of what i'm
hearing and think to be pitch correction/etc and someone tell me i'm
right or wrong, i'm crazy or sane, what have you.

example a:  the new Owsley, the opening track.  His low vocals just
sound a bit computerized...like there's this underlying effect to it.
Now, is that pitch control or is that just a standard vocal effect?  Cuz
i hear it on lots of stuff on the album, but it really stands out
there...

example b: The new pornographers, "The laws have changed."  Especially
on the female singer parts...again, has the same feel as the above
Owsley.  now, are they just using similar effects or is this pitch
correction?
