Last night I caught my first live show of the New Year.......... The Handcuffs played at the Bottom Lounge. This is Brad Elvis & Chloe F. Orwell's new band (Big Hello is no more..) They sounded great, looked great, & had fun on stage. Brad tells me that they will most likely play IPO-Chicago this spring UNLESS he's touring with the Romantics!! There is news about this development at www.thehandcuffs.com and www.romanticsdetroit.com (message board/drummer news). I noticed that this was mentioned by "chris/micropop" on the Audities list on december 19th, but I thought it was worth repeating/confirming!
Is WGN channel 9 a national tv station? If so, tune into the morning news on Tuesday Jan 20th to see The Neverly Brothers perform live. This duo features Kevin from the Wombats and Carl Schreiber, my fave local rockabilly musician (think brian setzer).
