Hi Dan, 
   This is the only part of your question think I can answer. It had 
to be live vocals. It was great but still I think they would have 
mixed it better then it sounded, if they dubbed them. Plus, when John 
grabs the mic and moves it to his face, his voice suddenly BOOMS per 
it being to close.  
  How they did this I don't know. I also remember the screaming girls 
seeming louder as a child. Maybe that was just me making all the 
noise.
  
Davy Jones smaller would not exist (or at most hair on tiny shoes). 
Davy Jones existing with out stars in his eyes is a shockingly real 
phenomenon, as seen on DVD. :)
