damn..this thing about ufb breaking up was like a punch in the face...
i saw them play live in italy last winter, & i had the chance to meet & talk
with bill, who is a very very cool & funny guy, not only a very talented
musician...
he told me the story behind the last ep, which was actually recorded even
before the last record "open up and say awesome", & was intended only as a
bit of fun & messing up with stuff in a studio...
but he even told that they already had a new album ready to record, at
least, they had the songs...on that tour they were a 4 piece, but had
recently decided to go back to the old rocking trio...

i'm very very very sad to read these news, mostly cuz they're one of the
best bands i discovered in the last few years, possessing everything i look
for in a rock band, the hooks, the power, the melodies, the "geeks rocking
out" attitude which is always fun, this cool mix of punk, emo, pop, rock,
powerpop...& on top of it all, bill's amazing voice, with his trademark high
notes coming out of nowhere...& damn, live they kick ass big time...

so i was looking for news about the new record, & what do i get?....

this is a very sad day...
but i'm gonna wear my ufb buttons even more proudly...

to all u people out there...anyone having news about this thing, about new
plans, new bands starting over, well, let us know...

"are u ready to rock, it's not a question, baby"
ufb, brookyn needle
