Didn't Aimee Mann do something like this very recently with "Lost In
Space?" Different packaging, or a new booklet, something different... in
fact, didn't she do it *twice*? I think the original issue came with a
bonus cd that wasn't available everywhere, and I think she recently
reissued it AGAIN in a different form.

I've recently been really annoyed by two particular examples: the Thorns CD (reissued with a bonus disc of all the songs performed acoustically) and the Ringo Starr CD (reissued with three new songs and an interview disc, as well as the supposedly limited-edition DVD that was included in the initial pressings of the album). Both of those reissues are blatantly taking advantage of fans of the artist to get them to re-buy an album that they probably bought when it first came out; I mean, seriously, is someone who just happens to hear a song by the Thorns on the radio going to be sold on buying the album because it has a bonus disc of acoustic versions?
