If you can find a copy online, check out DC Drive's 1992 self-titled debut.
Six funky white cats from Detroit -- two sets of brothers, a laid-back
bassist, and Joey Bowen...the supposed illegitimate son of Mark Farner.

These guys were a modern version of Rare Earth which included the groovier
moments of Extreme (without the Nuno Bettencourt histrionics). Joey Bowen
could/can sing like a God....and he was one of the most amazing
break-dancers I'd ever seen.

The disc was released on EMI CANADA...'cos they couldn't get signed in the
US. But, after touring unsuccessfully two singles/videos, they packed up and
went back to Detroit. I've found many cut-outs in stores from here to
Chicago...so it's possible to get this sucker cheap. Apparently, there was a
second album, but without Bowen...

Jaimie Vernon,
Bullseye
