As I didn't hit the CD shops (or post) as much this year, I've really
appreciated reading over everybody's "Best of 2003" recommendations . (and
look forward to adding some of your choices to my collection.)
Off the top of my head, these are the titles I fancied this year:
1) R. Wainwright - Want One
2) Guster - Keep It Together
3) The White Stripes - Elephant
4) Dashboard Confessional - A Mark, A Mission, A Brand, A Scar
5) Admiral Twin - Creatures of Bread and Wine
6) Mandy Moore - Coverage
7) Bleu - Redhead
8) Radiohead - Hail to the Thief
9) Travis - 12 Memories
10) Dave Matthews - Some Devil
Didn't do it for me: '03 releases from Rooney, The Thorns, Fountains of
Wayne
Singles-on-the-radio-that-caught-my-ear-in-2003-
but-I-don't-think-I'd-like-the-whole CD-from-which-they-originate (though
the last two, I believe, were released in the UK late '02):
Jet - Are You Gonna Be My Girl
Streets - Let's Push Things Forward
Transplants - Diamonds and Guns
