I'm with you Linda. I'm hoping for another James Iha solo album sooner than
later. There are a lot of gems on the first. If you're not already familiar
with Josh Rouse, check out some of his stuff. Not exactly the same sound,
but similar. You may dig. Cheers! Brent
Oh yay! Forgive my excitement, but there is no one in Lincoln, Nebraska, and
I do mean NO ONE, that cares about this album. I've felt so alone. It's nice
to read all of your comments on it. Because I'm one of Matthew Sweet's
ultimate fans, a local record dealer turned me onto James since some critics were
using Matthew as a comparison. While, I wouldn't completely agree to that, it has
been a staple in my musical diet since it's release. It's just one of the
sweetest albums ever made, in my opinion.
As far as Josh Rouse goes, Brent, good call! I was introduced to his music
about three years ago and I'm a big fan of his as well. I went to Minneapolis
in October to see him and was lucky enough to catch him on his last night on
tour in New Orleans while I was there on business in November. Live and on
record, I am pretty sure Josh will be a favorite of mine for years and years to
come. It was great finally getting to see him live, and twice at that. I think I
even discovered perpetual motion out in the audience!
Gushy, gushy me. Please forgive my excitement.
