Only 8 of the 90 discs that I bought this year were from this year, so
here goes anyway.

1. Thorns Thorns
2. Mandy Moore - Coverage
3. Beatalica - Sgt. Hetfield's (Free Download off the Internet
w/artwork)
4. Rufus Wainwright - Want One
5. Rooney - Rooney
6. Camp Soundtrack
7. Songs in the Material World - Harrison Tribute
8. The Josh Groban release which name escapes me.

Things I got in 2003 that rocked my world.

1. The 2 releases by the Punkles.
2. Me First and the Gimme Gimme's - Have a Ball
3. Sir Army Suit - Klaatu, 25th Anniversary Remaster
4. Ben Folds - Rockin the Suburbs
5. Cake - Fashion Nugget
6. Take it Easy : Beatles - Loungesque Beatles from Not Lame, in a word,
brilliant
7. A Hard Days Nick - Nick Heyward
8. Humming Along - Promo only release of Covers by Duncan Sheik,
Purchased for 60 cents at my local Goodwill store.
9. Human Radio II
10. Verve - Urban Hymns - 90 cents at same Goodwill
11. Wayne Newton - Danke Shoen, on practically new vinyl. He sounds like
a young kd lang, his voice is so pure. 25 cents at said Goodwill
12. Eva Cassidy - Songbird

Song that I have played 200 times that I got this year and I still can't
get inside of it. Snail Shell - TMBG from the Box set

Has Eva Cassidy been discussed here? I asked Santa to select one her discs
for me. Santa selected Songbird which is a compilation of sorts. My God,
what an instrument this lady had. I had no background or exposure. I
had heard about her being an influence on such and such, but I had no idea
what I was in store for. I feel certain that I will go out and get here
entire catalogue and obsess over it. Such a shame that she passed on so
quickly. The songbird disc completely trashed me. I was listening to it
at work on headphones. The final cut is Somewhere Over the Rainbow. Now
I am a bit jaded about this song because it has been done to death and
couldn't imagine another take on it. By the time it was finished, tears
were welling in my eyes and I didn't want to let my co-workers see me
breakdown.....
