Just got this from Not lame. I gather limited to 200 copies; a bedroom
session, him and an acoustic guitar, and some friends over. If I'd got it a
few weeks earlier I would have voted for it on my top-20. Sounds like
you're eavesdropping. He does Big Star's "Thirteen" (high coolness factor)
and Elvis's "Beyond Belief," which is a different song in Auer's hands.
Plus, if you like the vocal equivalent of air guitar, see if you can add the
high end Stringfellow harmony on top of "Suddenly Mary." Turns out I can't.
But my wife is too polite to say so.
