I got my copy yesterday as well, and excitedly threw it into my CD player
and cranked it up loud. The first tune left me cold as well, but as the
album progressed I got more and more into it. I think it's gonna be a
grower, like any great album. Some of my favourite CDs are ones I wasn't too
turned on by the first time I played them. Ironically, the first Owsley CD
which I loved instantly and wore out when I first got it, didn't have that
much staying power and I hardly play it these days...
My $0.2 worth...
