as a Bostonian- I was raised on Aerosmith from that first album on---they
always co-existed nicely, thoughout the 70's, with Iggy, Dolls, punk,
prog---they downright RULED right alongside Ozzy Sabbath. Hell, I even
LOVE Night In The Ruts(a wicked a LOT!) and ROCK IN A HARD PLACE(just alot).
After that? Well, I'm with you, have to say.....once the brought in Desmond
Child, etc, it's like desperate Aerosmith fans would swallow up any riff
Perry offered up. (same applies to many Stones fans since, say, 1980, come
to think of it...this one included)
That said, I still pick up each and ever album of theirs hoping, hoping,
hoping and get burned.
Goes back to what I said about Ryan Adams, I suppose.....gotta pay to play
the big payoff.

orchestral releases (and a re-issue of the Thrillington wank), two rock and
roll oldies discs, a trance dance record and only three *original* pop
albums. Sounds like a lot, but the miss ratio vs. hit ratio is nearly 99%.
Excuse my vitriole, but I am a huge McCartney fan and I just want to bitch
slap him for giving up...
