must disagree about elton. elton is a worker bee who has been writing and/or recording nearly nonstop for his entire career -- that alone
puts him way higher in my book than almost all of his contemporaries, who if we're lucky will come up with a new sucky studio album every
five or six or seven years and do god-knows-what in between -- and he still knows how to make honey. his most recent album, for crissake,
had two totally ace singles on it, "i want love" and "this train don't stop here anymore." and that puts him ahead of most people half his
age.
