While I don't wish to go overboard with this, I should also offer the
following: several of the discs which many of us have included on our
"favorite reissues" lists have been comprised of mostly, or entirely,
previously unreleased tracks. While this material was not originally
intended to be recorded as a proper album, and therefore is not eligible for
any "Best Of album" lists, its status as previously unreleased has never
stopped anyone from ranking them alongside reissues of previously released
material. This, to me, is a good use of common sense, and it's another
reason why I think that The Aerovons disc is much better classified as a
reissue, despite its status as "previously unreleased", than as a 2003
release.
