I'm not talking about the albums as a whole or even all of the
singles...just the initial singles. If the lyrics to "Pinch Me" as a whole
are not particularly goofy, then I stand corrected...but I was, in fact,
thinking specifically of the "under there" / "underwear" rhyme. And I
hadn't taken "Thanks That Was Fun" into consideration because I didn't even
know it was released as a single. (Shows how much airplay it got around
here.) I don't have a problem with there being goofy songs; if I did, I
certainly wouldn't have fallen for "Gordon" as hard as I did. But there's
much more to BNL than just the zany antics and couplets like "Hot like
wasabi when I bust rhymes / Big like LeAnn Rimes." And a lot of times, I
feel like they get pigeonholed STRICTLY as a wacky bunch of Canucks...when,
in fact, they're capable of writing very mature, intelligent lyrics...

And I've heard nothing but strong reviews for it, so, as I noted in my
original post, I'm sure I'll get it eventually and I'm sure I'll love (most
of) it when I do...
