No, no, no! The Mike Love Analogy is a bit strong. If Bill Wyman was leading
the Stones on tour, then you might be right. We've discussed this before. Yeah,
I know they sound changed dramatically with Some Girls, and they haven't moved
too far away from that since.

That MSG gig that I suspect is part of the Four Flicks, is a real stunner. They
play some great songs, the way they were suppose to be played. I gotta see the
other shows.

I like Let It Bleed a lot too, but I thought it was a bit of a let down after
Beggars. The same way Buttons wasn't quite as perfect as Aftermath or Emotional
Rescue after Some Girls. You have to understand this is splitting hairs, but
I've still got a head full of them.

You may be right about Keith's solo album. It did scare Mick enough that they
made up and decided to continue. No one mentions his second one in the same way
though. I will still argue that Dirty Work is the first of Keith's solo albums.
Too bad they left off that song Totally Memphis or what ever it's called. That
and Winning Ugly and a few others are just too much.

I listened to parts of Steel Wheels and Babylon today, and while I liked some
of those songs, I really don't care for the production. Who ever decided that
Stones albums should sound "clean" should be asked to leave the room.

Bobby you have to track down that DVD boot of the early 60's stuff, It'll kill
ya! Too bad the only Mick Taylor stuff is Gimmie Shelter. I still get the
creeps when I watch that. It was much scarier being there. The Oakland show was
good though, but they played everything sooooo slow. wonder why?

If you ever make it out this way, ask me about the Australian film....

So with the Beatles gone, and the Stones off your list, who does that leave?
Carl Wayne And The Hollies?

oops, the band will be here shortly, better go fire up the studio...
