Reading the comments about whether or not the Aerovons' CD should be
eligible for the top 20 poll reminds me of a kid who lived on my block in my
youth. He used to draw a big, thick chalk line on the sidewalk and tell
other kids they couldn't walk over the line. Probably became a high-energy
power broker.

It seems to me that it shouldn't be hard to draw a line in this case (and,
anyway, it's for a much better purpose). The Aerovons' album was never
before released. Therefore, it is not a reissue by definition. And even if,
for argument's sake, those on both sides of the issue can't come to an
agreement either way, why not let it be eligible? Or flip a coin? After all,
this is supposed to be fun, right? Don't deny the Aerovons their rightful
place in top 20 history!

In the interest of complete disclosure, I haven't voted because I haven't
heard very much in the way of new releases in the past couple of years. But
I have heard the Aerovons, and I quite like it. I give it an 87, because it
makes me smile and doesn't leave a chalky aftertaste!

Alan
