If there was more than a handful of albums in the entire history of rock and
roll I could listen to from beginning to end I would certainly listen this
way (which brings us back to the original topic of albums vs. songs). New
albums I most certainly listen to from top to bottom for the first little
while...but, over the last 20 years I can count on one hand the albums I
will put on and NOT skip over certain songs. The programming mode of CD and
media players has been a God-send to me. We've had discussions on this topic
in the past, and my tolerance level for having to dig deeper than a few
listens is very short....not A.D.D. or anything, just that my time is much
better spent moving onto another new album rather than spending a lot of
time trying to "like" an album if it needs 100 plays to grab my attention. I
just don't have that much time left in my life :-)
