Don't forget, the wonderful L.A. band, Marizane does the title track "The
Mayor Of Sunset Strip" as well.. I'm glad to hear this is getting a proper
release. Chris Carter had shown in a couple of times looking for a
distributor but those screenings had sold out fairly fast..
From the Marizane website, here's the soundtrack listing for the CD:
Brian Wilson - Rodney on the ROQ
X - Los Angeles
They Might Be Giants - Bangs
Blur - Parklife
The Byrds - My Back Pages
Herman's Hermits - I'm Into Something Good
Leon Russell - Welcome to Hollywood
David Bowie - All the Madmen (Live/Studio)
T-Rex - Get It On (Bang a Gong)
Alice Cooper - School's Out
Kim Fowley Speaks
Led Zeppelin - Sick Again
The Smiths - London
No Doubt - Just A Girl
The Ramones - I Wanna Be Sedated
Sex Pistols - Holidays In The Sun
Dramarama - Anything, Anything (I'll Give You)
Blondie - Dreaming
Hole - Malibu
Ronald Vaughan - Jennifer Love Hewitt
Starsailor - Good Souls
Coldplay - Yellow (Live)
Marizane - Mayor of the Sunset Strip

Though the preview didn't show it, apparently Cosmo Topper's "For...The Time
Being" (written and sung by our own Morley Bartnoff, who I'm sure can add
further-and more relevent-insight into Rodney Bingenheimer than I have) will be
played during the closing credits of the released film.
