Our local food chain, Brookshires built a HUGE supermarket that opened a year
ago thats as nice as any large city supermarket (in a town of 11,000) when
they
found out Wal-Mart was planning to build a supercenter here. Unfortunately
they had to raise prices too to pay for the thing.

Our local Mayor and city council wanted Wal-Mart to buld one here. Our small
town is surrounded by smaller towns and building a supercenter would prevent
people driving to Longview and coming into Kilgore to shop. Its a damn shame
USA companies have to cut domestic jobs and lower quality like Levis did just
to keep Wal-Mart happy. (and I agree with the article when it says that Levi's
new jeans are cheap quality compared to the old ones - even K-Mart's Route 66
jeans are a better buy)

Are these Homeless people or people going from Wal-Mart to Wal-Mart selling
(many times bootleg) shoes and clothes?
