Best Buy don't have to compete with Future Shop, Jaimie; I believe 
they just bought Future Shop (in November 2001) instead of competing 
with them in the old-fashioned way.

There's Best Buy stores in Canada just like there's Indigo and 
Chapters bookstores, though they be owned by the same people. Maybe 
just to give consumers an illusion of more variety than there really 
is.
