That's exactly the problem with Wal-Mart. They're not a corporate giant like
Starbucks or McDonalds that promotes a single "brand". They are a completely
self-contained commercial entity that is peddling a massive variety of the
same cheap crap to every town, suburb and rural area in America. This does
nothing but contribute to the homogenization of our culture and of the
deterioration of commcerial diversity and interest from consumers. The same
B.S. is true for Clear Channel. The masses don't *have* to act like dumb
sheep and follow everybody...but the problem is most of them don't see that
they actually have a choice! Why Stewart and Ira don't see a problem with
this is beyond me. ....but...to each their own. As long as the spicy good
stuff doesn't disappear altogether, I'll be happy.
