I remember in a Rolling Stone "Best LP's of all Time" list from the late 80's
an editor's explaniation: The Kinks had the curse of making SO many brilliant
albums in a short period of time (66-69) that if one writer voted for "Village
Green" and another for "Something Else" and another for "Arthur" they would
cancel out the Kinks from making the Top 100. It looked like this has happened
again.
