Sounds like a good time to further this girl's education. Why not expose her to the likes of the Ramones, Blondie, Buzzcocks, The Specials, The Go-Go's, XTC's "Life Begins at the Hop", Lene Lovich's "Lucky Number", that new wave version of "I Want Candy" (I'm blanking on the band's name - Adam Ant offshoot, "C30-C60..."), Nick Lowe, and other great songs that she'll hear on a Target commercial if you don't expose her to them first?:) And contrary to what Stewart says, you've got to give her a little taste of The Clash. Even the little girls understand "Train in Vain"! The Sex Pistols are another matter. I wouldn't want to be the uncle exposing a 13-year-old girl to them just yet. I'd also make her wait until her Sweet 16th for the likes of Richard Hell and the Voidoids and The Slits.
