One of the best things about the UK Northern Soul scene is most DJ's and
collectors dont care what genre a record is from. As long as it's super
dancable and obscure (the rarer the better) a record can be called a Northern
Soul classic. I have seen 60's Pop performers like Gary Lewis, Bobby
Goldsboro,
Tommy Roe, Bryan Hyland, Trini Lopez(!), and Helen Shaprio make the playlists
of all-nighters.
