I'm not sure I would want to name 15, but my favorite is easy: the Coolies' DOUG, which parodies many other notable "rock operas," yet manages to sport a consistent concept *and* wed it to great tunes that could stand on their own, two things that most actual "rock operas" never manage to accomplish. Plus "Crack Pipe" is often The Best Song Ever.

The vinyl came with a comic book by Jack Logan, who also did PETE BUCK COMICS and is a pretty darn fine musical artist in his own right.

By the way, I am enjoying the prog thread far more than a person who owns so few of those albums has any right to - special kudos to Mr. Mason for some consistently thoughtful and entertaining work here.

it's a hot night and I'm wound tight,

Miles
