Ah. Now here I can be of some help. Try these:
* Apoptygma Berzerk - fantastic darkpop stuff from Norway, I think
* VNV Nation - like Apop, but even more dancy
* Fiction 8 - Denver darkpop (industrial/goth/dance); I recommend
either their last record, CHAOTICA, or the one that's about to be
released, FOREVER, NEVERMORE. They have an MP3.com site with a
couple downloads you can sample.
* Assemblage 23 - last disc had some outstanding dancy darkpop on it.
* Evanescence - not really dancy, but one of the better dark pop
records I've heard in forever.
If I hear you correctly, these bands ought to be interesting to her.

You may have success in life, but then just think of it -
what kind of life was it? What good was it - you've
never done the thing you wanted to do in all your life.
I always tell my students, go where your body and
soul want to go. When you have the feeling, then stay
with it, and don't let anyone throw you off.
