I am not much of a blues fan, but last night, after a show I went to, I had to admit I was floored by what I saw. Candye Kane is the name. What a lady! What a terrifc voice and presence...well... she's got two waaaay big reasons to love her, and she's talking abouth them all the time. Hey, she even kept a cd and a powder box inside her cleavage and played a piano solo with her...errrr...wares.... really (and it didn't sound out of tune!) but that only adds more fun to the greatness of her show and music. Out of coincidence, it was her birthday (it is today, but the show started at midnight), so she was very happy (although my guess is that she's always like that). Great "discovery" for me. And the musicianship of her band boggled the mind. Perfect, tight, powerful... 10 out of 10. I know this great show won't turn blues into my favorite music from now on, but I do know I need all of Candye Kane albums! Any thoughts about this lady?
