i was sitting at work today, stuffing envelopes with
some co-workers. the song 'long cool woman in a black
dress' came on, and i was struck with a new jeopardy
topic. artists with style changes so varied you might
not even recognize it was them if you didn't know
better.
trebek would have it go something like this:
artists and style changes for 200, alex:
"long cool woman in a black dress" and "bus stop"
what is hollies, alex?
"only the good die young" and "river of dreams"
"little deuce coupe" and "kokomo"
"hard day's night" and "strawberry fields forever"
"i still haven't found what i'm looking for" and
"numb"
that sort of thing...you know what i mean. feel free
to talk amongst yourselves. i was starting to go on
and on, but my co-workers either were 1. giving me
blank stares or 2. trying to play and failing
miserably. i knew you'd understand. well, i hope you
will.
