Greetings!
When I was a kid I LOVED Grand Funk Railroad. They were heavy yet strangely
melodic, bluesy and soulful at times with amazingly enthusiastic musicianship.
I was sooooo into them. They got more melodic and expanded their 3 peice
power trio line up as time went on adding keyboards and sometimes orchestrations
too.
Hearing them back now (especially the early stuff) their sound is kinda thin
and Mark Farner's vocals sound quite off key but there is no denying that they
had a certain kind of special excitement and charm. I could easily see why I
was gaga over them as a kid.
