One of my local Edinburgh record stores has a pre Xmas sale of greatest
hits CDs, including one fairly new collection of Grand Funk Railroad. Now
this is a band whose name I have seen mentioned on Audities before, but
about whom I know ABSOLUTELY NOTHING AT ALL.
Would anyone be inclined to clue me in on what they sound like? Any
decent points of reference?

PS MTV Europe music awards are in Edinburgh this Thursday. The city will
be jam-packed with celebs, limos, parties etc. And no-one has invited me
(sniff).
