wow, I really really really REALLY wanted to be there
and had hoped to try and make it there last night.
original plans were to head up to ipo philly last
night, call out sick from work today and drive to
brooklyn to visit friends, Swivel Chairs, as Jeremy is
holding my copy of their brand spankin' new CD out on
paisleypop hostage....you'd think over 10 plus years
of support and friendship would grant me favor? no
way...but I digress. this groupie has been rockin'
and rollin' so much lately that she's gotten herself a
bit of a cold, and a sorta nasty one too.
however, despite missing all the great sets last
night, I did manage some musical indulgence last night
as my local boys, Carroway played at a bar near george
mason U and debuted some new songs and a few new
covers (typically thrown in at these types o'
gigs)....I'm still shivering over the amazing version
of Dear Prudence they did last night. and yeah, while
I should've been home nursing my fever and all the
stuff ailing me at the moment, I'd be far worse off
missing that moment alone. and as a result, I still
ended up out of work today!
oh and by the way, I don't have the new jane anchor
yet, but I'll back Kara's guarantee that I'm sure it's
absolutely incredibly great.
