Thought I would share this with the list- just heard the 4way Street version
of "Every Time I Think About You- Several Thousand Times A Day" on the way to
IPO PHL last night-

exhaustedly yours,
beth
you mean you are playing out tonight too?

To the Members of the Bobby Sherman and Peabody Fanclub,

Was it George Bernard Shaw or perhaps Wilfred Brimley who said: “Youth is
wasted on the young”? No matter, because today I write about a musical youth who
knows who both John Lennon and Musical Youth were (though not, perhaps, George
Bernard Shaw or, for that matter, Wilfred Brimley, though I can’t say for
certain), and that, if nothing else, gives me hope that all is not lost for the
future of Pop (Snap and Crackle, sadly, seem to be, at this point, lost causes;
Crackle having gone the way of Whitney Houston and Snap, well, snapping due
to the pressure of watching the potentially-promising Crackle marry so badly).

In order to do my part to write a bridge for the Top 40 (My) Generation-al
Gap, without having to actually go into an actual Gap, I have gratefully
accepted a graciously extended invitation inviting the inferred me of these sequenced
sentences to open shows for the implied she of the aforementioned paragraph.

Even I am not sure at this point what I’m saying.

Michelle Branch has asked me to play some shows opening for her and I said
yes.

How this all came about is a rather long story involving two guys with
exactly the same name who live on different coasts and Ms. Branch’s enthusiasm for
‘Fidelity is the Enemy’. I could tell you all about it, but I prefer the
incoherent babble at the top of the (virtual) page.

Needless to say, I’m really excited to be playing the shows and if you’re in
the neighborhood(s), I’d love it if you could drop by.

Here’s the dates and places:
11.18.03 Portland, OR Roseland Theater
11.21.03 San Francisco, CA The Warfield

Jim
