No, I think every single one of those bands were brilliant at what they
did, especially the Pretties, whose pre-EMOTIONS work I think is criminally
underrated. Savoy Brown weren't, as far as I'm concerned, largely because
I think the singer sounds like he's performing in blackface: he was just
trying way too hard to be Mr. Blues in a way that Peter Green and Phil May
never did. Ergo, "third-string."
