I saw Jet play, in the middle of the day, in the lunchroom at the
Pinnacle Bldg., the Burbank home to WMG-owned labels like
Elektra, Atlantic, WSM (Rhino) and other WMG corporate
divisions. They ROCKED, and the jaded "seen it all before"
record label folk thoroughly enjoyed their forty-five minute set,
more so than any other band that has played a lunchtime concert.
They were *tight*, professional and had a lot of "rock and roll
energy," in my opinion. The night before, at the Troubadour in
L.A., I heard the sold-out show was amazing and people outside
were offering as much as $100 for a ticket to go inside and see
the band, even if it was for a partial set. Different strokes for
different folks, I guess.
