One saving grace from Grand Funk, and Mark Farner in particular:
"Bad Time." A great pop song then, and still a great pop song now.
I'm in love...with the girl...that I'm talkin' about..."
Ahhh, bliss. Didn't the Jayhawks cover it a couple years ago?>>>
yes they did - they did a wonderful version on their Tomorrow the Green
Grass cd. I love the GFR original version also.
<<<Otherwise, I'd pretty much chalk up GFR as a relic that should stay
mostly
buried. A best of would be all that is required. "Closer To Home,"
"Footstompin' Music," "Rock & Roll Soul," "American Band," "Walk Like A
Man," "Shinin' On," "Locomotion," "Some Kind Of Wonderful," & "Bad Time"
would be more than enough.>>>
These are the songs of theirs that I like, as well - and they are all on the
GFR Capitol Collectors Series/Best Of CD.
