Dan:
I guess we'll just agree to disagree. I still say no one would give half
a shit about the Strokes or White Stripes if it weren't for the intangible
"hype" factor that has elevated these overrated indier-than-thou snots
to Rock God status. I guess the ticket to success in mainstream rock
is to get the hype, learn to suck, and make a whole=heartedly mediocre
lo-fi record.
