Well I'm just about recovered - I think....I was suffering a large dose of
self inflicted sleep deprivation but the world is looking rosey again. I didn't
want to miss a thing at The Cavern so I was there every evening and both
afternoons. As I'd help put IPO together with David I didn't want to miss a
beat...lol....seriously though, I had the most fun I've had in a very long time.
The people who turned up from far and near were just amazing and I am lost for
words as far as the bands are concerned. To have so much concentrated talent
all in one place was just awesome!!

Everyone agrees that IPO had a very special feel about it, the atmosphere was
truly wonderful and that comes down to the friendliness of the bands and the
people who attended. It was great to make the acquaintence of bands I've only
read about and listended to their CDs in the past. I know that special
friendships were forged in Liverpool that will remain for a long time.

Thanks to Mark H for the compliments about my city - I adore it but then I'm
biased I guess...LOL Mark made a good case for coming back and his comments I
hope will entice a lot more of the people here to come to Liverpool next
year. We have lots more to offer other than the Beatles (although that's a good
enough reason) and there's so much to see and do - start saving...ok? Re
Mark's comments about "food" - don't know where you were eating Mark but we have
some very fine restaurants here in Liverpool and next year I'll treat ya..ok?
:-)

It was a pleasure to meet Mark, Bruce Brodeen (what a guy!), Bob and Karen,
Bob Hutton, Bob Kelly, Mark H and many, many others.

David Bash - well what can you say about this guy? He's doing a stunning job
with IPO and it's plain to see that he is respected by everyone, his passion
for IPO has no bounds. It was a pleasure to work with him to make this happen
and now that it's over I'm so glad I approached him about coming to
Liverpool. I would work with him anytime and it looks like I will get the chance to do
so again in 2004. One thing I noticed about David is that once he gets onto
that stage, or in front of any mic he becomes someone else...LOL....and that's
a really positive comment by the way...:-)

Favourite bands for me :
Wendy Ip, Matt Backer, Bailey (wow!), The Lucky Bishops (awesome!), Cheese,
Ricky, The Celebrity Squares, Shiner22, Tony Rivers & Harmony Grass (lost for
words!), The Cheepskates, Sweet Apple Pie, The Scooters, The Rhinos,
Pendletones, Dorian Gray, The Jessica Fletchers (awesome!), Rock Four, The Grip Weeds,
Jeremy (go guys!), Stingray Green, The Jetset, Reece, Pugwash, Sean Macreavy
(awesome!), Bronco Bullfrog and The Winnerys - who sort of stole the show on
Sunday evening and did TWO encores!

Finally I just like to thank everyone who made it possible with their
support, and to David for his passion. See you all in 2004!!

Peace
Jean
