Good question that I've often asked...I'll ask again next time I'm on the phone
to London...

Richard Treece did tell me a great story about Nick 'Thick Gravy" Garvey... The
Helps and Duck were on tour. At some motor way cafe there were a bunch of
bikers making a fuss. NIck goes up to them and in his best public school voice
says "you bunch of shits better stop that right now". As the rest of the
musicians ran the other way, they see the bikers descend on Nick. Ricky says
Nick showed up an hour later, a little worse for wear.

Sean Tyla is back in action after disappearing for ages. He's currently
finishing up an album, with the usual hassles. I heard one song and it was
pretty good. They have also reissued the Tyla Gang albums. Yachtless is
essential to anyone following this discussion.

There will be the fifth Help Yourself album appearing later this year on HUX.
It was started in '73/4, but got shelved. The band has been working on it for a
couple of years now. I can't wait. Malc Morley is less a pop writer than
McMasters or Tchikovsky, but a lot deeper. Considering the gloom that has been
hanging over this list the last few days, it should be noted that Malc overcame
his own "shadow" and returned to the living. A beautiful person...
