I don't care what you've experienced or what you think you know. With a
statement like that, you will never convince me that you truly understand
depression.
Either that, or what understanding you do have has been overshadowed by
the music geek's instinctive "everybody's saying great things about it,
so it must suck" reflex.
If he was REALLY, rationally doing it for the effect, wouldn't he have
left a cool / mysterious / profound suicide note? Wouldn't he have
finished the new record first? It doesn't make sense. Because it's not
supposed to. It was an irrational act by an individual in the throes of
severe mental disease. That's not CHOICE.
