i had hoped that the mojo of steve goodman would
outweigh the mojo of steve bartman.
there was a kid behind me on waveland avenue last
night lightly singing the chorus of 'go cubs go' over
and over last night.
i prayed and prayed and prayed. one time, while i was
praying for him, troy o'leary of all people, hits a
solo homerun. but it just wasn't enough.
power 'pop' really isn't popular.
the cubs just can't seem to win.
i hate to play the victim, but man, it hurts.
