Great set last night by Josh Rouse and band at the
legendary Horseshoe Tavern in Toronto.
As expected, the evening focused on the recently
released "1972" (the title track and the ultra funky
"Love Vibration" were standouts) but did touch cuts
from each of his previous CDs, including killer
versions of "Laughter" and "Directions" from the CD
"Home".
Included a couple of covers as well: a Marvin Gaye
song (name escapes me) and Steely Dan's "Dirty Work".
The kid can write (and sing) a nice tune...
