Friends! ya gotta have FRIENDS! and how could I forget that our own Sherman
Boim met us at Coopers BBQ after a harrowing train ride down from DC to check
out the show. Sherman is always a great pop fan/ I have seen him in NY, NJ, PA,
DC, MD and all sorts of places and he is always there to support the music-
never has a discouraging word, and the skies are not cloudy all day!
Also, since our own John Micek piped up (sorry we assaulted you in the lobby
Friday morning, I just hate it at these fests when you KNOW you are supposed
to know someone and well, if you just would introduce yerself then you would
have plenty to talk about with that person, but instead we often glide past
eachother, like kids on the way to the next class. Isn't this a main reason we go
to these things? To meet other like minded folk? But I digress- heck watch me
at the next IPO and I may be handing out "Hi My name is _________ and I am on
the _______-list" stickers for everyone to wear!)
Where was I? OH yeah. Now that Sparklefest has kicked off the popfest season,
I am very much looking forward to all of the IPOs within reach of DE. So far
I think the night I am looking forward to the most would be Thursday 11/6 at
the Fire in PA for just $8 look what you get!!!
8:00 Dan Kibler- OK, so I do not know him, please fill me in somebody!
8:30 Kara Lafty- Kara kicks ass as the frontwoman for the Jane Anchor- one of
my new fave Philly bands
9:00 The Dent-um, OK I do not know these guys either. help?
9:30 Steve Ward- LOVE his latest CD- get it everyone! He was in Cherry
Twister too!
10:00 John Faye-our man Faye- of IKE, John Faye Power Trip, Caulfields-
debuting new songs this evening
10:30 The Jellybricks-LOVE their new CD too_ hopefully they will have
something for sale this show!
11:00 King Radio-Dying to see Frank and Co live and so close to my home,
11:30 Milkshake Jones-glad to be able to check out this band again too!
There are more days that I am looking forward to too- I may have to take some
time off and see ALL of the Boston shows :-)
