Then maybe I should give eMusic a big thanks! My problem is that I already
am far too complusive a buyer at things like flea markets and garage sales
("ooh doggies, I love that one 5th Dimension song - and these three LPs are
only 50 cents each...swoop!) and my small one bedroom apartment is
overflowing with vinyl. I was planning to (and probably still will) replace
some of my vinyl with stuff off of eMusic, on top of getting some out of
print material. I know this has been debated quite a bit, but if I can
download the Flatmates comp I saw, scan and print a cover from one of the
four pieces of vinyl I have and then sell off the vinyl, it:

a) prevents death from tripping over the crap scattered all over my living
room

b) gives me money to pay for emusic, and

c) hopefully gives me additional funds to buy new music at favorite
retailers.

The sound quality seems OK; at least good enough to my ears. I could sit
down and record the vinyl at some point, but anyone who has done that knows
it can be a fairly long and tedious process, and the sound quality isn't
that much better than what eMusic delivers, from what I can tell. And since
I'm going to burn everything, I don't risk the suicide inducing hard drive
crash.

I am slowly talking myself into it....

Steve
