And besides, the vast majority of the eMusic tracks are encoded in VBR
(Variable Bit Recording) with the average bit rate coming in about 200 kbps,
which is far more listenable than your garden-variety 128 bit files.

I'm sorry to see the current version of eMusic go. Lord knows I've been
making full use of my membership privileges over the last year or so. What a
treasure trove. I haven't decided whether or not I'll continue, but I'll
keep downloading like a maniac until the November 8 cutoff date.

If I do cancel my sub, I'll miss the relatively new feature MyLists, in
which users make out a list of recommended albums which show up on the
screens of people who have downloaded similar stuff before. Judging from the
"insanely great" recommendations that have appeared from these people, I'm
willing to bet that one or more of them are Auditeers. How about it,
"fatbastard spice," "Supernaut," "IanBlast," "marmOt" and "Snookster
Republican"  -- are you here?
