Not to make this a Boston venue list, but The Lizard Lounge is my
current favorite, especially now that Cambridge is getting around to
the smoking ban. It is the right size for an intimate show, the
sound system is excellent for such a small room, and they have the
best tap of ANY club in Greater Boston.
But the Paradise Lounge is pretty good too. The only beef I have is
that if you are trying to catch a quieter show while a loud show is
going on the main stage, it can be a little trying. Mostly they try
to stagger the shows, it seems, but if not, yich!
