As Andrea mentioned, the Paradise Lounge is a nice mix of cozy neighborhood
bar and decent venue for acoustic/politely amplified acts, and they have a
no-cover tradition. Admittedly, part of my fondness for the Paradise is
that I like the idea of a decent venue being four blocks from my house, but
I really think it's the best venue in Boston, and the Lounge is a great
add-on.
