Hi Everyone,

I'm proud to announce that International Pop Overthrow is one of the
sponsors of the pop extravaganza that will take place on Friday, October 3
at Beat Kitchen in Chicago!

Here's the lineup:

Cyclesomething: Their CD, Hailey’s Brushes, has all kinds of influences,
from Sonic Youth to Fleetwood Mac. Their showcase at IPO Chicago last April
was one of the most unique I've seen at IPO, as it was a pure prog-pop
masterpiece! That’s some cycle! www.cyclesomething.net

Van Go: Chrome plated guitar pop-rock is the name of that tune from this
foursome. None other than Richard Milne of WXRT-Radio has cited Van Go as
“one of the best bands in Chicago….great songs, great performances, great
vocals….” That’s what you get on their latest CD, We Happy Few.

Boss Martians: Awesome band from Seattle! Their brand new MuSick Recordings
CD, The Set-Up, has 13 tunes featuring Evan Foster's muscular vocals
(compared to Small Faces' Steve Marriott, the Buzzcocks' Pete Shelley, Elvis
Costello and Thin Lizzy's Phil Lynott) and stellar Cheap Trick-meets-punk
guitar-playing, as well as Nick C.'s Hammond, synth and Vox-Jaguar keyboard
work. Great stuff! http://home.earthlink.net/~bossmartians/

The Shazam: What can I say about this Nashville band that hasn't been said
already. They rock like no other, and give it everything they have (and
then some) at every jaw-dropping performance! Their latest CD, Tomorrow The
World, is a return to their roots with some down ‘n dirty rock ‘n roll
songs. www.theshazam.com

Tickets are $8. Check out www.beatkitchen.com for further details!

I surely hope you can make it! You'll be glad you did.
