The composition of this e-mail has been on my list of things to do for 2
weeks now. I guess denial is one way of dealing with something difficult. Here's
another...Sell It All.

The last 18 months have brought 3 Ds into my life. Divorce, Downsizing and
Damone (love them). The first two are what's prompting the sale of the bulk of
my record, CD, and musical instrument collection.

The sale will take place October 17-19th, at Arkay Graphics, 40 South Addison
Road, Addison Illinois. (630)543-5833. Addison is 30 minutes west of
downtown Chicago (without traffic). The hours are Friday 5-10 PM Saturday 9 AM to 6
PM, and Sunday 10 AM to 3 PM. Get there Friday night for the best selection.

After my experiences with the Les Turner Foundation's Mammoth Music Mart, I
entertained the idea of opening a record store. The proposed initial
inventory is what's offered up for this sale.

Over 15000 records, most are priced in box lots of 100 for $25. But you are
welcome to pick and choose. Every category is represented. Want the original
Teen Soundtrack? Got it. Fahrenheit? Got It. Zappa? Hendrix? Zeppelin? Got
It. Alaskan psych folk rock band Windflower? Got It. Need to fill in your
REO Speedwagon collection. You're in the right place.

Over 2000 CDs. What can I say. My name is Christopher and I have a problem.
 I realized that I had over 500 CDs that I hadn't listened to yet? I have a
stack of 23 on my desk that I am pricing, and 11 of them are from 2002 or 2003.
Want Pop? Beezwax, Bird, Alkaline Trio, French Kicks, Ash, The Effection,
Blink 182, Elms, Candy Butchers, The Swizzlesticks (cheap plug), Buzz Zeemer,
Cast, Flaming Lips, Best Kissers, Greta, Papas Fritas. You get the picture. $1
to $8.

Sorry, had to wipe the tears from my keyboard.

Guitars-15 of 'em. Fender, Gibson, Epiphone, Wahburn. Ibanez, Hamer, Yamaha,
Takamine, Tesco, Rogue, Monster. I realized that I am no Rick Nielsen. I
can only play one at a time anyway. $150 and up. Synthesizers, ADAT recorders
w/ BRMC.

I'll also have the best Pop posters available. Matthew Sweet, Trip
Shakespeare, Jellyfish, Cure, Cramps, Petty, Costello, Shonen Knife and 200 more.

Of course there will also be the usual collection of items that accumulate
over the years, furniture, clothes, books, household stuff, record cabinets. Oh
Yeah, these are great. I've got 4 Lawyer Style Oak shelving units, with
glass doors that hold LPs perfectly. Each holds approximately 1400 records. It
is a garage sale after all.

Well, thanks for taking the time to read this if you got this far. If you're
in the area, stop by and introduce yourself from audities and get 10% off all
vinyl, CDs and posters. I'll be spinning the best tunes the whole time and
collecting money. If you have specific questions, I'll answer what I can if
you e-mail me off list.

Thanks,
Christopher Grey
